Everyone knows about Immune System and how they work but Today in this article I will also explain it for you all. In my words Immunity means exemption or resistance, in another term, if your body have capability to fight against infection ailments or other unwanted biological invasion which occur through pathogenic microorganism.

Immune System Major Parts

1.leukocytes, also known as White blood cells. As we know that our body contains various cells and organs which work together and protect our body. Therefore, Leukocytes plays an vital role in the immune system.

2.Phagocytes or lymphocytes, these are also white blood cells, helps to protect our body from invading organisms and destroy them.

3. Neutrophil, this is one type of Phagocytes which protect from bacteria when any person get the bacterial infection, at that time every doctors suggest for a blood test to check the ratio of Neutrophil inside your body.

4.B Lymphocytes and T Lymphocytes, B cells (Bone marrow- or bursa – derived cells) and T cells (Thymus Cells) which are major component of the immune system. T cells are responsible for cell-mediated immunity whereas B cells related to antibodies and fight against bacteria and viruses which enter into our body.

What are the types of Immunity?

There are three types of Immunity.

1.Innate Immunity, means Natural Immunity.  A good example to understand this is Skin. Skin act as barrier which do not allow to germs to cross the line

In many species, there are two major subsystems of the immune system: the innate immune system and the adaptive immune system. Both subsystems use humoral immunity and cell-mediated immunity to perform their functions.

2.Adaptive Immunity: also known as Acquired immune system which is the part of immune system made up of specialized, systemic cells and processes that remove pathogens by preventing their growth. This type of immune system presents in vertebrate and this is the one of the two immunity strategies.

Example of Acquired Immune system: –

The main function of Adaptive immune system is to destroy the invading pathogens and toxic molecules which they produce inside the body. The best Example of dreadful Acquired Immune system is considered with Allergic problem such as hayfever and Asthma.

3.Passive Immunity: Passive immunity is not present in the body even it can not be produced but we purchase this Passive immunity from another resource and it stay only for short period. For an example, a newborn baby takes the Passive immunity from the mother placenta. Second example is baby feeds the milk from mother’s breast which is a temporary immunity.

  • Stop the habit of Smoking
  • Always eat high fiber fruits.
  • Always eat high diet such as green vegetables and pulses.
  • Maintain the good habit for Exercise.
  • Maintain a good and healthy weight.
  • Always try to get adequate sleep.
  • Do not stay unhealthy, always wash your hand frequently.
