How to make Ragi Samosa

Ragi Samosa Filled with Cucumber, Peas and Cashew Nut

Ditch your traditional oil-laden Maida samosas with the healthy ragi samosas. The tender and creamy filling of cucumber, peas and cashew nut will leave you craving for sure.

How to Make Ragi Samosa filled with Cucumber, Peas and Cashew nut

  • Sift ragi flour in a ceramic bowl, add water and mix well to have the consistency of a pancake batter.
  • Cook the batter in the microwave for 30-40 sec and Remove from the microwave and allow it to cool.
  • Knead semi-hard dough by adding more ragi flour, ajwain, and salt and then let it rest.
  • Heat a pan, sauté cumin until it begins to sizzle and Add ginger, green chilies, cashew nut, and raisins.
  • Cook for another 1-2mins and Quickly add chopped cucumbers, turmeric powder, boiled peas, and potatoes to the pan.
  • Mix everything well and sauté for 3-4 minutes. Season with salt.
  • Add fresh coriander and mint leaves.
  • and then Set aside to cool down for later use.
  • Divide the dough into small circles and then flatten it to oval or oblong shapes and cut into half.
  • Smear water over edges and join them to make a cone and Fill the cone with the mixture and close the edges.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry the Samosas until done and Drain them on kitchen paper towel and serve with tamarind or mint chutney.

Roasted Chickpeas

This is perhaps the easiest snacks and you can try at home and In fact, you can also store them in a jar/container and carry it your workplace, So, Keep munching into them whenever the cravings kick.

Ingredients:-

Chickpeas, cooked 1 cup
Salt, to taste
Olive oil ⅔ tbsp
Rosemary ½ tbsp
Chilli flakes ½ tbsp
Oregano ½ tbsp

and Layer the chickpeas evenly on a baking tray lined with butter paper (so they don’t stick), and toss with the remaining ingredients.

Then bake at 180 degrees C or until crisp, about half an hour.
