Carbohydrates : List of healthy Carbs

“Carbs” also known as Carbohydrates. Food we eat consume nutrients and other essential things to our body to run our body system by providing energy.

You can not make good health for granted but you can do every necessary task to stay healthy”

There are two main sources of Carbohydrates.

  • Sugars which include Fructose, Glucose and Lactose
  • Starches which include starchy vegetables such as potatoes and corn, grains, rice, breads and cereals.

How it works?

The body break down the carbohydrates into the sugar to create glucose which we absorbed from bloodstream, which moved around the body in the blood, also this is the primary source of energy to our brain, muscles, and the other essential cells.

When glucose level goes high in the body, the pancreas release hormone called insulin which is needed to move sugar from the body into the cells, which is a source of energy.

There are two Types of Carbohydrates: –

1. Simple Carbohydrates

  • Simple carbohydrate is those carbohydrate which have simple molecular structure made up of 1-2 sugar molecules.
  • When we consume food, simple carbohydrate breaks down by the body, to get energy.
  • You can find simple carbohydrates in possessed and refined sugar such as candy, table sugar, syrups, and soft drinks.
  • Simple Carbohydrates are not bad, they give us nutrition benefits by eating fruits which include fiber, vitamins, micro minerals as well as antioxidant, milk which contain calcium and protein and other milk product.
  • And all are necessary to maintain a healthy life style and proper growth of our body.

2. Complex Carbohydrates

  • it is made up of complex molecule which include 2-3 molecules of sugar.
  • These carbohydrates also contain fiber, vitamins, and minerals.
  • We can consume complex carbohydrates from beans, whole grains and vegetables.
  • When we eat these foods, are possessed more slowly by the body and provide sustained energy for longer period than simple carbohydrates.

What are Bad carbs?

There are many carbs which are ot good for us such as white bread and white rice ,we can minimize the ratio of bad carbs with fewer refined and processed carbohydrates.

What carbs we need to avoid ?

  • Bread and Grains becuase Bread is a staple food in many cultures.
  • Some Fruit and Juice
  • Starchy Vegetables.
  • Pasta and Cereal
  • Beer snd Sweetened Yogurt. …
